From the outside, Heather and Sidney live an idyllic life. Their families are best friends and neighbors, living the American dream in suburbian Miami. 

Unfortunately, not everything is what it seems.

As children with absentee parents, Heather and Sidney learn to rely on each other to help navigate the difficult journey to adulthood. 

With Heather’s brother Brad and their neighbor Charlie, they muddle through the mess of their childhood by depending on each other, until the day comes when their makeshift family is tested and everything changes.
