This book was a fun read for me for a number of reasons! One because I was excited that Lisa asked me to read her debut novel, since we met in Chicago at an event, and happen to have “real” mutual friends….small world! Second, I happen to live in the same local area as Lisa N. Paul and the location of the story she tells is a town I am very familiar with, so it was fun seeing street names and references about things in the town….. you know it as Charistown, I know it as something else!So, onto the story! First and foremost, I love the friendships in this story, the fun, the love, and the friends turning into something more…….. and it does remind me of one of my favorite TV shows Friends ….. BUT an X rated version, as this story has some steam to it…..ok not “some” steam, Lisa likes a hot story! If you like a HOT story and are not offended of some detailed descriptions…..Lisa is your girl!!!!Let me get this out there right away since this is a series, and I know a lot of my followers have the same issue….. they don’t want the cliffhangers right now…. You will be happy to know, that although this is a series and you will see the characters from each book throughout the rest of the series, this book is not a cliffhanger and Max and Janie’s story is told and completed in this one book! Does that have your attention now? HeheThe characters …. Ok, Max is H-O-T…well in my mind he is (and I am sure he will be in yours too)! Janie is a playful and sassy lady that has a scarred history and just wants to find love. In this story we are introduced to a fun and interesting cast of characters (Lyla & Gage, Ryan & Ashley, Kyle, Danny & Julie), which is a great part of this book as we know their stories will come in the rest of the series…..and I can’t wait to find out what Lisa has in store for us! So Lisa…..get on that!!!! I can’t wait to hear what everyone else thinks …..make sure to let me know after you read it. Next up Storm Front, Book #2 in The Charistown Series.Lastly, I will leave you with this…… some eye candy for the ladies…. I do not take credit for finding these pictures as they were a part of a giveaway that I had readers going and looking for who they think Max looks like. Max is tall (6’3) golden skin, dirty blond hair, that he keeps kind of messy – like he is constantly running his hands through it. He has the greenest eyes, like fresh cut grass, or emeralds. His smile is bright and perfect. He has perpetual blondish scruff on his face. His body is perfection from constant working out and it is a clean canvas…NO tattoos, piercing, or scars.
