Rebecca Donovan….let me count the ways that I LOVE this lady!!!! If you have followed me for a while, I am sure you already know how much I LOVE her! Question 1: If you could be a character in one of the author’s books that are here, which one would you be and why? Rebecca would choose Kate in Emma Chase’s “Tangled”. After discussing with Rebecca I think the main reason is that Kate is strong and does not take crap. I loved Kate’s character and that story and who would not want to be like that? I don’t like taking anyone’s crap either 🙂Question 2: If someone wrote a biography about you, what do you think the title would be? “It is What it is (and she may be a little crazy)” – Well, I would not call Rebecca crazy… evil in her writing perhaps, but not crazy. Last but not least (this one seemed to stump mostly everyone): Question 3: You are invited to a large cocktail party at a country club. When you arrive, the room where the party is being held is already over half full of people. How do they react to you when you enter the room? If you have ever met Rebecca, you would see that she just shines. Rebecca described to me that the room is going to part …. with a spotlight… on her … sparkling … people will take notice. So, while she answered this question in a serious but joking tone, telling me at least that is what she “imagines”, I think she may not be far off the mark, Rebecca is all sparkly every time I see her – she loves her bling whether it be in her accessories or on her clothing, there is a sparkly factor to her. My description of Rebecca at a signing would be she is like this beautiful sparkly princess and then any other time I see her, her costume changes into a rock star (usually still sparkling somehow – LOL)! If you ever have the opportunity, make sure you get your chance to meet her!!!!
Rebecca has recently announced that she has signed with Grand Central Publishing and they plan to release the eBook of WHAT IF (her next book) in September 2014 and the paperback in January 2015.

The Breathing Series
No secret here when I say that Rebecca Donovan is one of my favorite Authors. She first had me at her debut novel, Reason to Breathe back in 2011. I was thrilled to meet her in the Fall of this 2012, at which point she told me….”I was evil like her”. What does this mean? Well, since I am writing a review about this third book in The Breathing Series, I can no longer hide that there is not only one book to this series. When I first read Reason to Breathe, I was under the impression that I was reading a stand-alone book. However, when I got to the end of Reason to Breathe, I could not breathe! As you know, I do NOT like to give anything away in my reviews, but I will say that Reason to Breathe has a huge cliff-hanger and when I finished it…..after trying to collect myself first, the first thing I did was re-read what I just read…..trying to figure out what the hell just happened. The next thing I did was jump online and look for Rebecca’s website…..I needed answers….this stand-alone book DID NOT just end that way! I was distraught and my heart was racing. When I found her page, this is where I found out that there indeed would be book #2 Barely Breathing….. I could once again “breathe”. So, to understand where I am coming from when I tell you that I am “evil”….. when I would tell my friends to read this book I would not tell them that there was going to be a second…. Why? Because I want readers to experience the same emotions I went through while reading the book….So, what would happen? I would get angry text messages and emails all the time and I LOVED IT! And when I met Rebecca I bought a paperback of Reason to Breathe and that was it (even though Barely Breathing was already released)… I would give my friends the book to read (for those that do not have a digital reader) and they would be HOOKED and yes, mad at me for putting them through it all! So yes, I am evil ….just like Rebecca….and I wanted to torture my friends the same way that she tortured me!Then there was Barely Breathing, and what a perfect name for a book….the title says it all….she left us all Barely Breathing AGAIN! I did not know if I could stand it…..and with the title Out of Breath, I was fearful!Now, I am here and have finished Out of Breath… What a fantastic series! The ride was rough, emotional, raw and so heart-breaking! Living along the way with Emma’s struggles was very hard and you just want her to find her way….. after everything she went through in all these years…..she deserves her happy ending…. to be guilt-free ….. she deserves LOVE, whether she believes it or not, and…….. she deserves to be able to breathe. Finally, I can breathe again when finishing a book by Rebecca Donovan….there was finally no cliffhanger and Emma’s journey is complete.Rebecca’s writing is flawless! I enjoyed the transitioning between Emma and Evan’s points of view in this story. My advice to you, give the characters new and old a chance and be patient, there is a new story being told here and you just have to listen and be patient…you are not getting all your answers right from the start….
